I've decided that I'm just going to stop second guessing everything. When I stop and really think about it, the next logical step for me to take always seems to be to go to CA and sub while I look for a job there. If I find a permanent job here, or God shows me something else, well then I will pursue that when it comes down to it. But, right now I really feel like God is directing me towards moving back to YC.
I still dont even have a job here yet that I could work at and save money for this big venture. Yet, I have faith that if this really is God's will it will work out. If not, it won't.
I signed up with a temp agency, but the man there told me that things have been slow because of the economy. Luckily, he also said he hasn't been taking on a lot of new people, so, if jobs do open up-there isn't a long list of people ahead of me waiting for calls. Who knows though, all of this could just be a disclaimer. Why would he take on a new client at all if he felt like it were hopeless, or he couldn't make money off them?
And then there is another job I submitted my resume for. Its working in an International Programs Office. I think it would just be doing basic support work. Its kinda right up my alley though-having a degree in a Foreign Language. And I do have an M.A so thats a huge plus for me. Yet, lets not forget my HORRIBLE interview skills. Anyway, a guy called me about it late Friday and left me a message. It was evening before I realized I even got the call and heard the message, so Im going to call him back tomorrow. So, who knows maybe that will work out? Not getting my hopes up-but it's nice to know things aren't COMPLETELY hopeless. Plus, I'm going to try to sign up with a second agency-just in case.
It's hard-but Im trying. At least I can say that. This is something I want and I'm going to do everything I can to make it happen. Although, if its not what God wants none of my efforts will matter. Once again, thats ok with me.
