The problem with getting your hopes up..is that they can be dashed against the cruel rocks of reality. Those rocks seemed especially harsh Sunday after the 18-0 Pats lost to the Giants ruining their quest for the perfect season.
It just goes to prove that the higher you reach, the more audacious your hope, the more it hurts when you realize what you hoped for won't happen.
It's a lesson in life-the more you love something the more you can be hurt by it. Doesn't mean you shouldn't love-or have hope. But, after a rude awakening like this-it's just going to be hard to believe again.
